翻译中的妥协现象探因

翻译究其实,是译者在原作与译作读者之认知取向、原语与译语两种语言和文化各要素间的相互矛盾较量中,协调这些矛盾,终而给原语所承载的各类信息找到一个最佳输出途径的过程。在此意义上,任何译文都可以看作是译者协调翻译中诸矛盾,使其暂时达成某种程度妥协的结果。造成妥协的原因是复杂的,本文着重从译文接受者认知框架、译者翻译能力、原语与译语语言文化差异三方面对此加以探讨,进而指出翻译中的妥协现象几乎是不可避免的,探究这一现象背后之原因有利于引导译者更好地游刃于翻译诸矛盾之中,实现翻译真值最大化。
