语篇教学的功能语言学模式

摘    要:探讨系统功能语言学理论应用于高校英语专业高级英语课堂的教学实践,在此基础上建立起高级英语语篇教学的功能语言学模式。以人际元功能理论为指导,以李观仪《新编英语教程》第六册第一单元Text I为例,分析该语篇对话部分的形式结构特征如何反映交际者之间的人际关系并从语篇生成的社会文化语境进行阐释。研究目的在于培养学生的深层解读能力和发展学生的意义潜势,同时进一步说明SFL理论用于解释语言事实的可操作性和适用性。

Abstract:The present research probes into the application of systemic-functional linguistics (SFL) to Advanced English classroom teaching, resulting in a SFL model of instruction for this course. To show how the model works, the article introduces a case study in which the theory of interpersonal function is employed to the teaching of Text I, Unit [ of Book Six, A New English Course by Li Guanyi. Particularly, the case study analyzes how lexicogrammatical patterns of conversation reflect interlocutors' interpersonal relationship and in turn seeks an explanation in the context of culture in which the text takes shape. The overall objectives of the research are to improve the in-depth reading skills on the part of the students and to develop their meaning potential in language.
