图像可压缩性的随机场模型

将图像及其位平面分别用Potts模型和Ising模型刻画，通过估计相应的参数及计算Ising模型的熵率，得到了图像可压缩性的一种度量，对一些典型灰度图像的数值实验显示，这一度量能够较好地刻画图像可压缩性，并发现了自然图像的一些共同特点，将有失真压缩和无失真压缩情形进行了对比，得到了一些有意义的结果，该方法同样可以用来研究彩色图像，活动图像的可压缩性。

Random Fields Model for Image Compressibility

This paper used the Potts model and Ising model for gray images and its bit maps respectively. By estimating the parameters and calculating the entropy rate of Ising model, it got a way to measure image compressibility. The experiments for classical gray images show that this measure is useful. The paper also found some common characters of the natural image, and got a new understanding for the lossless and lossy image compression properties. The method in this paper can also be used in the study of color images and moving images.
