An Approach for Image Processing by Cellular Neural Networks

Under the background of the link relationship of brain neural cells, the Cellular Neural Networks are composed of lots of cellular units and only connected with the vicinity cellular unit directly. This neural networks model is available for primary processing of two dimensional image and easy to achieve by hardware. After the introduction of Cellular Neural Networks model,the method of image filtering by Cellular Neural Networks is illuminated and the software program frame chart and the simulated results are presented. The results indicate that the method is effective.
