摘    要:在二进制对称信道传输多媒体信息流时,考虑噪声和攻击的影响,错误保护机制是实现码率最优分配的重要指标。为了提高传输质量,结合JPEG2000信源和FEC信道编码的统计特性,提出了一种基于非均匀错误保护的最优码率分配技术。该技术利用小波变换的多级分解把多媒体信息流进行分层多通道传输,并对不同的传输层实行非均匀错误保护,同时利用动态规划策略,达到了率失真最小化目的。通过一定码率传输和不同条件下的信道实验分析,对于固定长度信源信息包和固定长度信道信息包,该技术比EEP方法实现的图像质量提高了约0.5~1.2 dB,表明系统具有更好的传输特性。

Abstract:With channel noise and possible attacks,error protection scheme is one of the important requirements of optimal rate allocation for binary symmetric channel(BSC) transmission.Based on unequal error protection with jointing JPEG2000 source and FEC channel coding,a novel optimal rate allocation technology is proposed. By portioned multimedia information codestream into a series of hierarchical structures using multi-wavelet translation,it can approach bitstreams multi-passes unequal error protection transmission.With use of dynamic programming,the proposed rate allocation scheme can minimize end-end code-rate distortion.The experimental results show that the scheme can provide around 0.5-1.2dB gain over equal error protection for either a fixed number of source bits(fixedk case) or a fixed number of channel-coded bits(fixed-n case),and transmission system has competitive performance with existing schemes.
