| 摘 要： | 原型范畴理论是认知语言学中最重要的范畴理论之一,它兼容了经典范畴和家族相似范畴观的优点,并且它所体现的原型效应为基本层次范畴和多义范畴研究提供理据.文章在介绍原型范畴理论形成和发展的基础上,对比原型范畴理论和经典范畴理论的异同,深入分析了原型范畴的特征,进而结合实际教学,论述了原型范畴理论在词汇教学中的指导意义.

| Abstract: | The theory of prototype remains a focus in cognitive linguistics, which is a perfect integration of classical prototype and family resemblance theory. The paper reviews the development of category theories and their features to demonstrate the value of prototype theory and its contribution to English vocabulary teaching. |
