| Abstract: | A nonlinear analysis metchod, based on nonlinear continuum mehanics and stress-resultant yield surface plastic flow rule,is successfully applied to the large deformation elasto-plastic analysis of the ultimate strength of plane steel frames. 4 plane steel frames were tested. The comparison of the theoretical predictions with the experimental results verifies that the theoretical method derived in this paper has very high precision and efficiency. |
