| 摘 要： | 对于女性形象的刻画是维多利亚时期文学的引人入胜之处。通过对《白衣女人》中玛丽安这一女性形象的分析，提出维多利亚时期一种全新的女性观：坚强独立的女性。她身上具有明显的男性特质：男性的长相，坚定的性格，厌恶女人的言论，对男性特权的渴望，对婚姻的反叛等。因此，玛丽安是混合体。她融合了男性和女性的品质，体现出了反传统性。
