| Abstract: | Argon Laser Iridectomy was carried on coloured rabbits, It was obscrvecl the course of transient IOP(Intraocular Pressure) elevation and the changes of ultrastructurc of Blood-aqueous Barricr. It was found that IOP elevation was significant after the operation and reached to maximum in about half an hour, then declined steadily to normal levcl. The IOP elevation was mainly due to the breakdown of Blood-aqueous Barrier which lead to the increase of aqueous phase; which were alleviatod by preoperative topical application of Indomethacin or Dexamethasone. |
