| Abstract: | This paper reports for the first time the ostracods of the middle-upper Carboniferous of the Hulustai section of the Helanshan area in the west of the Ordos Basin. The ostracods are composed of 14 species assigned to 10 genera. It is very important for the prospecting of petroleum in this area. This discovery is helpful in interpreting the environment of sedimentation and provides micropaleontological evidence for the division and correlation of the middle-upper Carboniferous. |
