| Abstract: | A brief outline of the history and the state of arts of the studies of anxieties in sports competihon abroad (mainly those related to inverted-U theory and multi-dimensional theory of anxiety) are provid ed. Then the state of arts of researches in anxieties in sports competition in China is discussed. It aims to provide Chinese psychologists with recent developments in sports psychology, so that they can under take researches in the Chinese context. |
