墨家兼爱理想的当代阐释

秦汉以后,儒术独尊,墨家兼爱理想在儒者的非难声中被历史的尘埃所湮没。在市场经济盛行的现代社会,人与人之间相利而不相爱,冲突与矛盾加剧,人类社会面临爱的危机。墨家兼爱理想反映了人类对自身同类的尊重和认同,是人类理性的直接表现,会对陷入困境中的同类表现出同情、怜悯、关怀和帮助,并能够通过正当有效和文明的种种途径,化解和处理各种危机和矛盾,为构建社会主义和谐社会增添一份融合剂,在当代对墨家兼爱理想进行阐释具有很大的必要性。墨家兼爱理想包括四个方面的内容:即爱的能力、爱的行为、爱的实现路径及爱的境界。

Modern Interpretation of the Mohist Universal Love Ideal

Ever since the Qin and Han dynasties,Confucianism has been the dominant philosophy.Mohist philosophy of universal love has been condemned by Confucians,and has been inundated with the dust of history.In today’s prevalent market economy,people give and receive mutual benefits from each other,but they do not love each other.Therefore modern society faces a crisis of love.Monist universal love ideal reflects the idea that the human beings should respect and recognize one another,which is a direct reflection of human rationality.Men usually show their sympathy,compassion,concern and help to the people who are in a similar situation as themselves.They attempt to solve different crises and conflicts through proper,effective and civilized ways.In order to build a more harmonious society,it is necessary to interpret Mohist universal love ideal in the contemporary era.Mohist universal love ideal contains 4 aspects: ability to love,action to love,ways of love and realm of love.
