| Abstract: | The spanning tree protocol is one of the essential protocols of the network. This paper introduces why the rapid spanning tree protocol overmatches the spanning tree protocol, and gives a general expatiation on the algorithm for port role of rapid spanning tree protocol based on a model, and gives an example, and describes the process of selecting the port role particularly. |
