| 摘 要： | 约翰·福尔斯的《法国中尉的女人》中，萨拉对命运的抉择超越了维多利亚时代传统的束缚，获得了自由，体现了作者的存在主义观和女权主义倾向。但由于时代及作者的局限性，看似新女性的萨拉无法摆脱男权的枷锁，实现真正的自由。

| Abstract: | John Fowles＇ novel The French Lieutenant＇s Woman uncovers the existential ideas and the feminist tendencies of the author by Sala＇ choice on the fate. At last , she surpass the bound of the Victorian convention and get the freedom . However, because the limitation of the time and the author himself , Sala can＇ t get the true freedom from the bound of the male society. |
