Recognizing nature and highlighting peculiarity--reflections on ways to solve the problem of a big time lag of the news in school newspaper

Based on working experiences, the author explores and elaborates several ways to solve the problem of time lag of the news in school newspaper. From the perspective of editing ,shortening time lag , comprehensiveness, and instructive should be taken into account concerning with the content of news. Features and columns can be employed to cultivate the depth of the content of the school newspaper to make up for the big time lag. As for the reports, the reporters can adopt the principle "new with old; deep with plain; point to area" to minimize the time lag.
