| 摘 要： | 方向图获取是指纹识别系统中的关键环节．本文根据方向图中分块区域的平方梯度一致性，提出了去除方向图上背景／噪声区域，以及在此基础上对方向图进行平滑处理的方法．通过这种方法，可以使得方向图上准确地保留指纹图像有效区域的方向表示．实验结果证明了这种方向图后处理方法的有效性．

| Abstract: | Estimation of the directional field is a crucial step in fingerprint recognition. Based on the coherence of the squared gradients, we present a new postprocessing method to clear off the background or noise block in the directional field and smoothes it efficiently. The result of experiment showed that an accurate directional field could be obtained by this method. |
