吴氏父子与《时务报》

在《时务报》的创办及发行过程中,四川达县的吴德潚、吴樵父子作为报纸的幕后支持者,参与了《时务报》筹备、发刊、发行的主要过程,在制定办报方针策略、推荐梁启超参加《时务报》、筹备费金、获取官方认可,在西南地区、杭州等地报纸发行方面作出了较大的贡献。在《时务报》发生内部矛盾时,吴氏父子对调解汪梁纷争也超到了重要作用。吴氏父子之所以积极参与《时务报》的种种活动,与他们具有维新思想和忧国思想有密切关系。但由于他们的活动多处于幕后并且是阶段性的,故其作用未被世人重视。

The Wu Father and Son''''s Contribution To The Chinese Progress

During the establishment and publication of the Chinese progress,WU De-xiao and his son named WU Qiao participated the preparation and publication of the neaspaper as backstage supporters and participants.Moreover,they played impor -tant roles in constituting guilding and recommending Liang Qi-chao to participate in the Chinese progress,preparing funds,obtaining official approval and distributing the newspaper in Southwest of China and Hangzhou.They also mediated internal con -tradiction between Wang Kang-nian and Liang Qi-chao.All these activities were clo -sely related to their reform thoughts and loyalty to country.However their great con -tributions had been overlooked for a long time because,mostly,their activities were behine the scene and stratified.
