战国时期“士”的生活

士的人格相对独立、思想自由,造成了＂百家争鸣＂的兴盛景象,达到中国文化史所罕见的学术高峰。同时,士的政治阶级地位也相应的发生了变化,士作为等级体例中的一个层次,渐渐的由于没落贵族和上升的庶民加入而不断壮大起来。优秀的士可以受到君王礼遇,成为座上宾,当时的私门养士、争士成风,私门中的食客也有高低之分。士的经济条件相差很大,很多士都非常穷困,这也是他们甘愿投入私门做食客以求温饱的重要原因。

literati and officialdom class are quite independence in economic,politic and freedom in thought,which leads to contention of different schools of thought——-even reached the peak of Chinese culture.The class of literati and officialdom is changed all the time,as a important stage of bureaucracy,they grow bigger and get a higher status.Elite of literati and officialdom class will treated by the emperor as honored guest or even be an adviser of king.by this reason,there are many noble support them,but literati and officialdom class is a very big stage,so there also big gaps in the class,some elite lives luxury and decorous life while others are quite poor,that also give an answer to why they need support from noble.
