In this paper,a cold standby repairable system consisting of two-identical component andone repairman is studied. By using the monotone repait model,we consider a replacement policy Nbased on the number of repair of component 1.The problem is to determine the optimal benefit per u-nit time is maximized.When the working times and the repair times of two components are both expo-nential distributions,the explicit expression of the long-run expected benefit per unit time is derivedand the optimal number of repair N* is found by numerical method.
