| Abstract: | The Burgers vector of the transformation dislocation as pointing fromthe lattice point of the unstable parent to a neighbouring lattice pointof the stable martensitic phase have been taken.Based upon this model,the growth of the martensite is described,the formation process of which,abuted and twinned,has been studied,The calculated result of the drivingforce of phase transformation is very approximate to the flow stress oflow carbon steel and that of the total change of free energy due to themartensitic transformation is also very close to the experimental Value. |
