林业院校科技情报工作改革刍议

摘    要:<正>科技情报工作是现代科学发展的耳目、尖兵和参谋。以林业科学为例,如果不了解国外林业科学技术的发展水平和研究动向,不清楚我国的林业科学水平现状,就不能正确选定赶超世界林业先进水平的新起点,重复进行价值不大的科研活动,势将造成人力、物力和时间上的浪费,影响林业现代化的实现。由此可见,搞好林业科技情报工作是实现四化宏伟目标的需要。

Abstract:Scientific and technological information plays a very important part in the modernization of forestry in our country. So far there are four types of information research units at home attached to the following institutions: 1. national and provincial comprehensive information research institutes, 2. national academy of forestry or provincial institutes of forestry, 3. tree farms or forest product factories. 4. higher and medium educational institutions.As for the scientific and technological information work in the higher educational institutions, conditions there are superior in that there exist comprehensive branches of studies, abundant sources of materials, congregated personnel of foreign languages, integrated working teams, etc. Therefore, there should be some peculiarities in the information work in the higher educational institutions, for example, making effective improvements on the data gathered, giving better information teaching, offering appropriate advice about scientific and technological information, etc. It is suggested that sound setups be realized as quick as possible, points stressed in information work be regulated, the training of personnel for information work be hastened, etc.
