The petiole base have 9 vascular bundles, and9—11 ones in the another end The leaf and stem resembes each other in the elements of the vascular tissue, but there is not a tracheid. in the stem. The typical bifacial leaf of the sesamum iudicum can be, used as a teaching material of botany, A short—raphides which are found in the petiole and vine, and collaters which are oc-cured on the epidermis are a good feature to classify the Ped-aliaccae.
