| Abstract: | Based on the meshing theory, some fundamental equations are developed concerning the profile meshing of an arcuate-tooth-trace gear couple with its middle ( tooth ) pinion. And then the reduction ratio is expressed. From this it is proved that deflection of an arcuate-tooth-trace gear is possible, but only within the reference centre distance |
