| Abstract: | The dynamic buckling of elastic pressed bar is studied using nonlinear Timoshenko beamtheory. The results are compared with those of the nonlinear Euler beam. Thus, the effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia on the dynamoic buckling of elastic pressedbar are explicitly demonstrated. |
