李贽出家原因小探

李贽是晚明时期以反叛性格闻名于当时的“异端”。他极力追求的自适、为己之学,自身不服管束与愈压愈起的倔强性格,对死亡的恐惧心理及由此而激起的强烈求道之心等种种因素,促使他有官不做,有家不回,最终走向剃发出家。主要论述李贽剃发出家的种种原因,并力图将之归结于其最终原因:即对死亡的恐惧及由此激发的求道热忱。世人皆贪生怕死,而李贽自言自己尤贪生怕死之尤,所以他选择剃发出家,以便全心全意地探究生死大事,证得生死之道,最终参透生死,脱离苦海而终至无生无死的境界。

A Research on the Reasons Why Li Zhi Became a Monk

Li Zhi is well-known as "the heresy" for his rebellious disposition in Min Dynasty.He pursues the study of being suitable and studying for oneself vigorously,and he refuses to be controlled by anything.His stubborn disposition and the fear of death and the intension of searching for the Way which is aroused by that fear-all these factors urge him to abandon his position as an official as well as his family,and finally go to the temple and become a monk.This paper mainly dwells on all sorts of reasons of Li Zhi's tonsure and why he becomes a monk,and tries to conclude them to its final reason: the fear of death and the intensely intension of searching for the Way stimulating by that fear.The common people all covet life and fear death,but Li Zhi admits himself especially coveting life and fearing death,therefore he chooses the tonsure and becomes a monk,in order to wholeheartedly inquire into the important matter about life and death,find the Way of life and death,finally understand and escape from the mystery of life and death,and reach permanence.
