On the Possibility of Return of Modern Metrical Poetry

Modern metrical poetry embodies the spirit of China and modernism to its full capacity. It possesses solid foundations and reflects initiatives at the same time. Later generations explore the modern poetry and develop it to such a stage that it becomes more vital and aesthetic, which serves as the opportunity for it to come to life again after the silence for several years. By contrast, the current free poetry is not able to carry on the poetical heritage for the lack of national spirit and modernization in its real sense.
