| 摘 要： | 《嘉莉妹妹》讲述了一位农村女孩到城市谋生最后成为名演员的故事。通过嘉莉由贫至富，赫斯特由盛至衰的对照命运暴露美国贫富对立的社会本质，说明了在以金钱为中心的美国资本主义社会里不可能有真正的幸福。大量运用对比、象征修辞手法是本文写作特色之一。本文主要对其进行分析评论，看它们是如何起到映射现实、刻画人物和刻画环境进而揭示主题的作用。

| Abstract: | Sister Carrie tells the story about a country girl who came to a big city.to make aliving and finally succeeded in becoming a famous player, which exposes the social nature, a biggap between the rich and the pool in American society by the sharp contrast of Carrie's success.and Huistwood's declining, which illustrates that it is impossible to.possess ture happiness in amoney-oriented capitalism society. As this novel is characteried by a great deal of application ofcontrast and symbolism. This essay mainly analyzes and comments on how they reflect the reili--ty, portrait characters and describe environment, which reveals the theme of the novel. |
