语码转换翻译实例对比研究——以《日出》和《围城》英译本为例

语码转换是语言接触的一种常见现象,而语码转换的翻译却很少引起研究者的注意。通过对《日出》和《围城》英译本中张齐治和张吉民两个人物会话中语码转换的译文进行实例研究,运用系统功能语言学的语域理论,对两种翻译方法进行分析、解释和对比,提出在翻译实践时应该对形式给予充分的重视,将形式与内容统一起来,并强调在进行翻译实践时应该注意具体的语境。

The Comparative Research on the Translation of Code-switched Utterances——Sunrise & Fortress Besieged As Examples

In the present research, we spare attention to the translation of the code-switched expressions when the work is rendered with the justification that little literature of this aspect is available. We set out to make a comparative analysis on the different ways of translation of code - switched utterances of Zhang Qiaozhi in Ri Chu ( Sunrise) and Zhang Jimin in Wei Cheng ( Fortress Besieged) by taking Systemic Functional Linguistics approach. The observation and findings on the translation of the code-switched utterances indicate that form and meaning are a whole entity and form should be also highlighted in the translation. The context of the text is of great importance in choosing the proper way of translation, and the balance between form and meaning would be pursued with the sufficient examination on the context of the text.
