| Abstract: | The concept of risk in weapon system development (WSD) is introduced. Main risks in WSD and the relationship among them are discussed, and the basic principle of quantitative analysis of technical risk, cost risk and schedule risk is also given. On this basis, the current methods of risk management such as risk avoidance, risk trade-off, risk control, risk bearing and risk transfer and their applications in WSD are discussed in detail. |
