| 摘 要： | 车牌定位是车牌识别系统中的关键环节。根据车牌固有特征,利用数学形态学和垂直投影技术相结合进行车牌定位。该方法可以有效地去除车牌附近噪声的干扰,进而准确定位出真正的车牌区域,对有部分字符遮挡的车牌也能较好地定位,具有实际应用价值。

| Abstract: | License plate localization is the key of the license plate recognition system.A license plate localization method based on mathematical morphology and vertical projection combining the inherent characteristics of the license plates is introduced.The method can effectively remove the noise interference near the license plate and obtain the accurate position of the license plate region.It is also applicable to the covered license plate.This method has practical application value. |
