Origin of Abnormally High Pore Pressure In Gaolu Region Nanbu Depression

Based on the analysis of geological data the origin of abnormally pore pressure of sections Es_3,Es_1,and Ed_3in Gaolu region, Nanbu depression is discussed in this paper. The results indicated that the abnormally high pore pressure in this region is resulted mainly from shale compaction and there is no important ralation between abnotmally high pressure and aguathermal pressuring and changes in depth of fortmations caused by faults. The sections Es_3~(2+3) in G13-L10 area have a normally pore pressure, because the ratio of sandstone to shale in thickness is large and the formations are cut by Beilu fault, therefore there is a poor restriction for abnormally high pore pressure.
