| Abstract: | The eigenvalue numerical method is a new numerical computation method developed recently.It has the virtues of both the numerical method and the analytical method because only space is discretized while time remains continuous.In this paper, the improved eigenvalue numerical method is applied to solve an unsteady groundwater model with transient boundary conditions and pumping/recharge rate, etc.The sample computation shows that this method has advantages both in speed and in accuracy when there exist a large number of time steps or / and unknown nodes,which lays foundation for solving the real complicated problems effectively. |
