东西方数学课程概览--2002重庆数学教育国际研讨会侧记

摘    要:新世纪国际数学课程改革研讨会于2002年8月16日至20日在中国重庆召开。来自10个国家的代表分析了本国数学课程改革的最新进展。这10个国家是美国、法国、荷兰、俄罗斯、澳大利亚、巴西、日本、韩国、新加坡和中国大陆。根据代表们的发言,笔者在国际比较视野下对数学课程改革作了概述.讨论主题是:(1)中央集权和地方分权的国家数学课程;(2)考试文化的影响;(3)减轻学习负担;(4)“数学战争”;(5)减小东西方学生在基本技能方面的差距;(6)东西方交流的新动力;(7)学习技术的使用;(8)新世纪综合几何与演绎几何的命运。

Abstract:An international conference on mathematics curriculum reform in the new era was held in Chongqing City,China during 16-20 August 2002. Speakers from ten countries analyzed recent reforms in mathematics curriculum in their own country. According to these presentations,an overview of mathematics curricula from an international comparative perspective is reported here. The ten countries participated were: United States,France,The Netherlands,Russia,Australia,Brazil,Japan,Korea,Singapore,and Mainland China. The first six countries are from the West,whereas the last four are from the East. Themes discussed in the paper are: ① centralized versus decentralized national mathematics curriculum,② influences of examination culture,③ decreased burden of learning,④ confrontation amongst the stakeholders,⑤ diminishing basic skills differences between East and West,⑥ new initiatives for interflow between East and West,⑦ the use of learning technology,and ⑧ fate of synthetic/ deductive geometry in the new century.
