| Abstract: | Differential thermal analysis (DTA) tests were used to measure the effect of nitrogen on phase transformation temperature of primary austenite of Fe-C-Si and Fe-C-Si-Mn grey cast irons. The results were discussed with ther-modynamic theory. |
