摘    要:超宽带(UWB)由于其低检测概率(LPD)特性而很有可能成为一种用于战术隐蔽通信的技术.针对两类常用的超宽带无线电信号IR-UWB和MB-OFDM,采用最佳未知信号检测接收机,通过仿真及与直接序列扩频(DSSS)系统比较,评估了超宽带系统的隐蔽性能并提出了提高系统隐蔽性的系统设计方法,剖析了提高IR-UWB通信系统隐蔽性的实现限制.

Abstract:Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a promising covertness technique for tactical military communication application with a low probability of detection (LPD). Using optimal radiometers for unknown deterministic signal detection,the covertness of IR(impulse radio)-UWB and multi-band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) systems were evaluated and compared to direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) systems,the UWB system design choices that affected the covertness were investigated both by theoretical analysis and MATLAB simulation. Several methods for UWB system design choices were given and considerations of practical limitations to improve covertness of UWB systems were discussed.
