摘    要:提出了一种在单模光纤负群速度色散区由基孤子产生超短光脉冲的新方法,即当波长位于光纤负色散区的基孤子信号脉冲和波长位于光纤正色散区的泵浦脉冲在光纤中共同传输,光纤零色散波长位于基孤子波长与泵浦脉冲波长中间附近时,交叉相位调制能使基孤子压缩.数值计算表明,入射泵浦脉冲越强,由基孤子信号脉冲产生的光脉冲的宽度越窄,峰值功率越高,而且所需的光纤长度越短,但是压缩质量减小.当泵浦脉冲的阶数不变、泵浦脉冲脉宽减小时,信号脉冲的压缩因子增大.

Abstract:A novel method that can produce ultrashort optical pulses from fundamental soliton in the anomalous_dispersion regime of single-mode fibers is proposed. It consists of copropagating a signal pulse with an intense pumping pulse in optical fibers whose minimum-dispersion wavelength is chosen such that it falls between the pump and the signal wavelength. The pump pulse imposes nearly linear frequency chirps on the signal, which induces the signal to involve into ultrashort optical pulse. Numerical simulations are used to study the generation of the ultrashort pulses.
