从幽默交际的角度审视语言经济原则

“用词经济”是幽默交际中常见的一种现象,但相反的情况同样普遍存在.从经济原则在幽默中的言语表现形式入手,结合自嘲式幽默、即兴幽默、罐装幽默及幽默散文等幽默交际中常见的几种形式,对经济原则重新进行审视,可以认为：幽默普遍遵循经济原则,而幽默本身却常常成为交际成功的经济手段.经济原则对于交际的指导作用不仅应该从“用词经济”这一表层结构上来看,更应该从言语的优化配置这一深层结构上加以审视.

Re - examination of Principle of Economy in the Perspective of Humor Communication

Economical use of words is common in humor communication, yet the opposite is equally true. This paper analyzes the linguistic presentations of the Principle of Economy in humor communication and re - examine the Principle in terms of self- directed humorous remarks, spontaneous humor, canned humor and humorous essays. The analysis finds that humor communication usually follows the Principle of Economy without exceptions, while humor itself is often adopted as one of the economical means to facilitate daily communication. The Principle of Economy should not only be analyzed in terms of the superficial structure of economical use of words, analysis is also necessary of deeper structure concerning the optimized disposal of words.
