| Abstract: | Summary The renal handling of an oral isotonic saline load was studied in hypertension-prone (SBH), hypertension-resistant (SBN) and the parental Sabra (SB) rats. The diuretic and natriuretic response of SBH rats was unequivocally diminished, thus lending further support to the concept of impaired salt handling in hypertension.This work was supported in part by a grant from Bayer AG, FRG. |
