| 摘 要： | 城市是人类的有意识创造,是人情感与欲望的物化形式。不同文化体系中的城市在空间布局和城市精神上表现出根本的差异。宗教中心与世俗政权中心是中西方古代城市的根本差异,这种差异一直延续到现代。

| Abstract: | City is a creation of human being and physical form of human being's desire and feeling. There exist obvious differences in spacial structure and spirit of cities between different cultures. The basic difference is that traditional Western cities are religion\|oriented and traditional Chinese cities are secular power\|oriented. This tradition influences the space and spirit of a city. |
