Abstract:The fuzzy theory is invited in this paper to calculate weights of evaluation items, which is a very important stage in highway network evaluation. Highway network evaluation is a composite of various attributes that lack of pertinency and comparability, and their commonality is that they are more or less tainted with uncertainty, with different daily decision making problems of diverse intensity, the results can be misleading if the fuzziness of human decision-making is not taken into account. So we introduce fuzzy theory into the measurement of evaluating weights to overcome the issue and Analytic Hierarchy Process in scheme ranking. It is testified to be a more reliable way through the case study of Yangtze River Delta highway network evaluation.
