Abstract:The study deals with peroxidase and esterase isozymes in pollen from rice,cotton and rape on the gametophytic and sporophytic pathways of pollen develop-ment.The results are shown in the following:1)At various stages of gametophy-tie development,the isozyme patterns in anthers from the three crops all showedcharacteristics,specially at the miosis and hinucleate stages.2)In vitor,whenthe pollen developed gametophytic into sporophytic pathway,the isozyme patternsin anthers changed obviously.3)Only rice anthers can go on dedifferentiationinitiation to the hinucleate stage on the medium without hormone.
