| Abstract: | Summary Drinking saline instead of water elevated the glomerular count in hypertrophied kidneys of rats uninephrectomized as adults. No changes occurred in glomerular concentration in kideny tissue indicating a more marked increase of other kidney structures. This procedure was ineffective in immature animals. |
