| Abstract: | Through the analysis of The Butterfly Lovers and Romeo and Juliet, the thesis explores the cultural differences between East and West. The Butterfly Lovers mainly reflects the shackles of feudal ethics on people＇s mind, while Romeo and Juliet demonstrates the new bourgeoisie＇s determination to struggle against feudal power and to pursue freedom of love. |
