A General Description of Catholicism Dissemination in Tibet during the 17-18th Century

Through the analysis of the different aspects of the missions which came to Tibet in the early time,such as the background,the different stages of missionary work,characteristics and the reason for their failure and so on,this essay tries to make a simple summary and a narration of the dissemination of Catholicism in Tibet in the early days.This essay will outline the general situation of Catholic missionary work in Tibet during the 17 and 18 century objectively,accurately and thoroughly.The relation between Catholicism missions in Tibet and the western colonization,and the influence of Catholicism dissemination to Tibetan modern society,are also involved in the discussion.
