Discussion on the Rise and Development of Dongjiang Peasants Movement During the Great Revolution

The rapid rise and development of Dongjiang Peasant Movement during the Great Revolution are attributed to the following factors. Firstly, Dongjiang area is featured by a special geography which is of great advantage to the peasant movement. Various mountains and a long coast were made full use of in the struggle with the enemies, to protect the revolutionary force and to develop the movement in the unfavorable situation when the enemies were very strong. The second factor is that solid political and class foundations were laid for the Great Revolution by the glorious revolutionary tradition and the numerous people who were very poor and eager to join the revolution. The most important factor lies in the protection and support from the two Parties ever since their cooperation.
