Zhou Yueran,a Modern Bibliophile and His Concept of Book-collecting

In China’s modern cultural history,Zhou Yueran was a famous expert in English teaching,a bibliophile,translator,editor and writer.He learned English by himself when he was a child,and his book Model English Readers brought him great fame.His experience of book-collecting was full of frustrations.The books he collected featured lyrics and melody,novels,books in sex study and foreign languages.His concept of book-collecting was innovative which advocates book-collecting serves the use and reading of books.Therefore,he was an important person with individuality in the history of book-collecting in China,so he deserves more attention and researches.
