| Abstract: | Hierarchical model is one of the three data models that DBMS supports.This article puts forward a method to describe a hierarchical model using a relation model.The DL/1 language in hierarchical model is represented by relation algebra.It also describes the algorithm of adding and deleting, compares the retrieve efficiency and gives a design instance. |
