| Abstract: | This paper briefly introduces basic design thoughts of the general layout of upper module of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading （FPSO） in a project as well as relative technical problems encountered during the design. Some basic principles of the general layout were summarized and the overall layout was discussed in view of characteristics of the FPSO and special layout requirements. |
