Abstract:The technique of self-assembled ultrathin film has studied in recent years in chemical field such as in interfacial science, molecular engineering etc, is mainly summarized. It introduces the history of development, and covalent self-assembly, hydrogen bonding self-assembly and electraststic self-assembly according to the different interaction forces between the two species which are used to prepare the ultrathin films. The self-assembled materials have potential application in many fields.
