简要介绍了产业群的概念，指出大学对产业群的形成和发展有着举足轻重的影响，并对所在地区竞争优势的提升发挥着积极的作用。在此基础上，提出我国科研实力较强的区域可依托当地大学，培育和发展有特色的产业群，提升该地区的竞争优势的建议。

Discussion on the Functions of University in Industrial Clusters

This paper briefly introduces the conceptions of the industrial clus ters, points out that the university possesses very important influence on the f ormation and development of the industrial clusters and the active effect on the promotion of the competitive superiorities of the place where the university lo cates, and based on this, puts forward some suggestions that those regions with stronger sci-tech research ability in China can relay on the local universities to cultivate and develop the industrial clusters with characteristics and lift the competitive superiorities of the region.
